Something good about being 40

Independence in the kitchen :-)
I've finally learned to feed myself.

What passes for a recipe nowadays:
a cube of butter
three eggs
two big-spoon scoops of date sugar
a pile of flour until I felt that any more would definitely be too much
a little bit of baking soda on the tip of a spoon
vanilla, accidentally spilled and then most of it soaked back up with a paper towel
a great deal of chopped macadamias!
... baked until they were done.

YUM! A child said, "These are so good! What are they?"
